slip covers...

still planning and decorating

for my new house, 

i have been in search of dining room chair

slipcovers...

they are all over the internet 

(in photo's)

but i have been unable to find any cute ones to buy...

i think i might have to make them...

right now i have a persian rug in my dining room,

but with my white hard wood floors

i am not putting a rug in my

new dining room and i think putting 

slip covers on the chairs will give my room nice texture...

i am in search of a 

antique 

cast iron bathtub...

this is not as easy as it seems...

i am looking for a two sided tub...

i have a very specific idea in mind...

this is a beautiful tub i found on craigslist

in atlanta...

i absolutely LOVE it but it is

round on both sides...

this is the antique two sided

fashion can odd at times 

but i guess that's why we love it.

chandelier...

i am sure you all know my love for chandeliers....

well owning my own home,

i am determined to have a chandelier

in every room like i have always wanted...

yes, every room...

this includes bath and closet...

here are some lighting ideas i love...

 i love this for my kitchen...

it's not really a chandelier, but it's very beautiful

and i think will work perfect in my kitchen...

this chandelier is made from bone china

and i cannot stop day dreaming about it...

ahhh i just think it is so beautiful

and soft

with a slightly contemporary edge....

and

i love the way it illuminates....

it is perfect for my dinning room...

i have two lights on either side of my front door 

and just adore this style!

i found these on ebay and am dying

for them, 

one in each closet...

i am looking for a smaller version of

this for my bathroom...

and

i found this also on ebay 

and love it for the pantry...

assuming i get one...

i am still looking for the lighting for both bedrooms...

these are just some of my ideas,

i am ready to start this project!!!!

i am crossing my fingers for the numbers

to get in place this week!!

decisions... decisions...

as most of you know 

i bought a house...

i am still in the process of making 

decisions about my renovation

project...

my head is swimming

and i am anxious to get started...

money and numbers !!

i feel like i want to pull my hair out!!!

who knew this process would be so tough....

it has been a huge learning experience

and i can't wait to make some 

final decisions this week!!

as soon as we start work, 

i will start blogging about all of my progress!!

another homemade facial mask....

this is a perfect smoothing mask

and a wonderful way to use those old spotted banana's

nobody likes but hate to toss...

Ingredients :

• Banana (ripe).................................. 1/2

• Avocado (over-ripe)................................. 1/2

• Cucumber (chopped) .............................. 1 Tablespoon

• Yogurt .................................................... 1 Tablespoon

• Olive Oil ................................................. 1 Tablespoon

Method :

- Mix all the ingredients and process them in a blender

- Apply a thick layer and leave for 30 minutes

- Wash with luke water then splash with cold water

fall... autumn... the change of seasons...

the past couple of days 

have given me a glimpse of autumn...

the change of seasons always leaves something lingering

and yet exciting in my heart...

this year above most

i have had a glimpses these feelings...

i am very hopeful

about this fall and some of the wonderful things to come...
