while we were in Bar Harbor ME we had such a great dinner!

this is a quaint fresh honest restaurant.

i loved how this tiny restaurant was run by 3 people, one being the
owner....

irish potato leek soup with smoked bacon
chilled local beet and raspberry soup with gingered whipped cream
local organic greens with herb buttermilk dressing, garden tomatoes and cucumbers
mizuna greens with chevre, strawberries and spiced candied nuts
roasted local veggies with lemon chive aioli
chilled lobster with cauliflower flan and tarragon parsley sauce
smoked pork empanadas with silky white bean puree
housemade charcuterie and patés with traditional accompaniments
local artisan cheese plates

braised pork shank with cider and rosemary

roasted local chicken with sautéed bitter greens, foraged mushrooms
and potato puree

grilled peddlars' cut sirloin with stout chocolate demi-glace
and roasted baby yukon potatoes

handmade gnocchi with fresh peas, mushrooms, grilled onion
and lemon-thyme cream

pork osso bucco with roasted red pepper spaetzle

pan seared halibut with black bean suce, organic radish slaw
and tomato risotto

grilled line-caught yellowfin tuna with mixed olives, gin-spiked lemonade

and mashed artichoke and potato

if you are ever visiting Bar Harbor ME i highly recommend
this restaurant off the beaten path
down crooked road...
